A Playground for All: Lambertville Academy’s New Play Space to Open to the Community

Claire Lynch

Lambertville Academy, a program of Fisherman’s Mark, is thrilled to announce that its long-awaited playground project is entering its final phase—bringing a safe, enriching play space not only to students but to the entire Lambertville community.

Thanks to the generosity of the Where Angels Play Foundation, this playground will feature new equipment, enhanced safety surfacing, and expanded accessibility, creating a space where children can learn, play, and grow together. For the first time, the playground will be open to the public after school hours, allowing families to enjoy it weeknights after 6 PM and all weekend long.

This project has been years in the making, with support from local organizations, businesses, and donors who recognize the importance of safe, inclusive play spaces for children.

The final phase of the playground, made possible by Where Angels Play Foundation, will include:

  • A new climbing structure for children ages 2-5
  • Poured rubber surfacing for enhanced safety and accessibility
  • Public access after school hours for community use

As a gesture of gratitude for their incredible generosity, Fisherman’s Mark and Lambertville Academy encourage those who wish to support this initiative to consider a donation to Where Angels Play Foundation. Founded in response to the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy by a New Jersey firefighter, Where Angels Play has built more than 50 playgrounds in communities affected by loss and hardship, creating lasting tributes that bring children and families together in healing and joy. Their work continues to transform spaces into places of hope, play, and community.
