Volunteer With Us

The mission of Fisherman’s Mark is to strengthen our community. With responsive programs and services that promote stability, health, and education, Fisherman’s Mark is an advocate for positive change in the lives of our neighbors and their families.

In order to achieve this, we need a team of volunteers to assist in a multitude of tasks. Our volunteers are part of the Fisherman’s Mark community. We value their time and service and they, in turn, enjoy the camaraderie and satisfaction that comes from helping others as part of a team. If you’d like to volunteer, simply fill out the volunteer form and we’ll contact you to schedule an orientation.

Because of people like you, Fisherman’s Mark runs efficiently. In 2022 alone:

Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteer for Regular Free MARKet Pantry Shifts – Our food pantry, located at 262 North Main Street, Lambertville, operates five days per week and is staffed each day by a team of volunteers. Our volunteers are scheduled for one three-hour shift per week, assisting with gathering groceries for our clients. Schedules are flexible and there are substitutes available in the event of a cancellation.

Host a Food Drive – For information on hosting a successful food drive, click here.

Volunteer for Regular Office Assistance – Our administrative office, located at 60 Wilson Street, Lambertville, operates much like any office. We need regular assistance with answering phones, filing, mailings, and other office duties.

Volunteer for Seasonal Programs – We have a number of seasonal programs that require all hands on deck in order to ensure smooth delivery. Whether it’s organizing gifts for the Adopt-A-Child for the Holidays program or stuffing grocery bags for our Holiday Meal Program, assistance from volunteers is critical.

Volunteer for Special Projects – From time to time we look to our community for expertise in specialized trades: handypeople, lawyers, painters, accountants, movers, organizers or cleaners. Your skills can support our mission and help your neighbors.

Youth Volunteers – Scout troops, service clubs, and individuals interested in providing service are all welcome to assist. Just contact our administrative office.

Whether it’s weekly or just a few times per year, Fisherman’s Mark appreciates your generosity in sharing your time with us.

"I look forward to my shift at the Free MARKet. Not only is it very satisfying to help people in need, but our crew has fun doing it.
