Holiday Meals

Helping make holiday meals feel special, welcoming, and within reach.

Around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, Fisherman’s Mark offers special holiday food distributions for Free MARKet participants.

Families sign up in advance and receive everything they need to help prepare a festive meal at home — including pantry staples, fresh produce, and a choice of holiday meal options.

Because everyone should be able to enjoy a special meal without the added financial pressure of the season.

How Holiday Meals Work

Holiday distributions are planned in advance so families can choose what works best for them and pick everything up on a designated distribution day.

1

Choose Your Meal

Families select from available holiday meal options, such as turkey, ham, or a vegetarian choice like macaroni and cheese.

2

Come on Distribution Day

Each holiday has a scheduled distribution day at Fisherman’s Mark, 262 North Main Street in Lambertville.

3

Bring Home the Rest

Participants receive pre-packed pantry staples and can also choose fresh produce to round out their holiday meal.

What’s Included

Holiday Meal distributions are designed to help families put together a complete, festive meal at home.

Participants receive a pre-packed bag of pantry staples and traditional holiday sides, along with their choice of available main meal options. Fresh produce is also available to select during distribution.

Depending on the holiday, meal choices may include turkey, ham, or a vegetarian option such as macaroni and cheese.

Our Zero Waste team also prepares homemade apple pies for select holiday distributions, adding one more special touch to the meal.

A Little More Than a Meal

Holiday distributions are about food, but they’re also a chance to make the day feel festive, welcoming, and fun.

At Easter, families may be greeted by the Easter Bunny, receive candy, and sometimes find special donated outfits for children as part of the celebration.

At Christmas, the Holiday Meals distribution takes place alongside Fisherman’s Mark’s Adopt-a-Wishlist program, creating one larger holiday gathering where families can pick up food and gifts in the same visit.

These extra touches help make each distribution feel like a community celebration, not simply a pickup.

Holiday by Holiday

Each distribution follows the same basic idea, with a few seasonal touches that make every holiday feel a little different.

Thanksgiving

Families sign up in advance and receive pantry staples, fresh produce, and a choice of available holiday meal options.

Zero Waste apple pies may also be part of the distribution, adding something homemade to the holiday table.

Christmas

Christmas Holiday Meals are distributed alongside Fisherman’s Mark’s Adopt-a-Wishlist program, bringing food and gifts together in one larger holiday distribution.

Families receive holiday meal ingredients, fresh produce, and their selected meal option as part of the day.

Easter

Easter includes the same holiday meal support, with pantry staples, fresh produce, and a choice of available meal options.

The day often includes festive extras such as a visit from the Easter Bunny, candy, and donated children’s outfits.

Part of a Larger Food Support Network

Holiday Meals are one part of Fisherman’s Mark’s broader food support network. Families who participate are already connected with the Free MARKet, where they can access groceries, fresh produce, and other support throughout the year.

The program also connects with other parts of Fisherman’s Mark — from fresh produce supplied by farm partners to apple pies prepared through Zero Waste and holiday gifts shared through Adopt-a-Wishlist.

Together, these programs help make food support more flexible, connected, and responsive to what families need at different times of the year.
