Summer Farm MARKet

Fresh produce, close to home.

From May through September, Free MARKet visitors can choose from a colorful variety of fresh produce every Wednesday afternoon.

Much of the produce comes directly from local and regional farm partners, giving families access to fresh, often organic fruits and vegetables at no cost.

Fresh Produce, Lots of Choice

The Summer Farm MARKet is filled with fruits and vegetables in every color of the rainbow, with selections changing throughout the growing season.

Much of the produce is fresh from local and regional farms, and many items are organically grown. Visitors choose what they want to take home, making it easier to select foods that fit their household, preferences, and plans.

Fresh, colorful, and free — with choice at the center.

More Than Produce: Community Awareness Tables

On Summer Farm MARKet Wednesdays, Fisherman’s Mark also welcomes local agencies and community organizations to host community awareness tables alongside the produce distribution.

These tables give Free MARKet visitors an easy opportunity to learn about programs and services available throughout the area, ask questions, and connect directly with organizations that may be useful to them.

Fresh produce, helpful information, and community connections — all in one place.

From Farm MARKet to Zero Waste

Fresh produce from the Summer Farm MARKet often continues on to support other parts of Fisherman’s Mark’s food programs.

Ingredients that are not distributed through the Farm Stand may be used in prepared meals through the Zero Waste program, helping turn fresh food into nourishing meals for neighbors throughout the community.

And when there is more produce than Fisherman’s Mark can use, we share the abundance with other local food pantries and soup kitchens so that good food continues moving where it can be useful.

The goal is simple: make the most of every donation and waste as little good food as possible.

Grateful for Our Farm Partners

The Summer Farm MARKet is made possible in large part by generous farm and food rescue partners who help keep fresh produce moving into our community.

Part of a Larger Food Support Network

The Summer Farm MARKet is one part of Fisherman’s Mark’s broader food support network. Visitors may also connect with the Free MARKet, Mobile MARKet, FLY, Zero Waste meals, and other Fisherman’s Mark programs and services as needs arise.

Fresh produce may start at the Farm MARKet, but its impact often reaches much further across the community.
