Helping Families Navigate Financial Crises
Unexpected hardships can happen to anyone. A medical emergency, job loss, reduction in work hours, or other unforeseen circumstance can quickly make it difficult to pay for basic necessities.
Fisherman’s Mark provides limited emergency financial assistance on a case-by-case basis to help individuals and families facing temporary financial crises. Our goal is to stabilize households, prevent larger challenges from developing, and connect community members with additional resources that can support long-term stability.
What We Can Help With
Depending on available funding and eligibility requirements, assistance may be available for:
- Utility bills
- Water bills
- Housing-related expenses
- Prescription costs
- Transportation needs
- Other essential expenses related to an emergency situation
Our case manager works closely with each individual to assess their circumstances and determine what resources may be available.
Utility Assistance
Through a partnership with The Bridge Lambertville, Fisherman’s Mark administers utility assistance funding to eligible households experiencing difficulty paying electric, gas, or water bills.
Staff can also help individuals explore additional utility assistance programs and payment options that may be available through utility providers and government programs.
More Than Financial Assistance
Emergency assistance is often just one piece of the solution.
Our Social Services manager can also help connect individuals and families to:
- Benefits and public assistance programs
- Food resources
- Housing resources
- Healthcare services
- Transportation assistance
- Community support programs
By combining emergency assistance with information, referrals, and case management services, we help community members address immediate needs while building a path toward greater stability.
