Fisherman’s Mark faced unique and increasing needs this spring as our area felt the impact of COVID-19. Our Food Pantry saw a 30 percent increase in food distributed which included over 300 new clients since March. Thanks to the incredible generosity of many in our surrounding communities, we were able to provide meals and social services to these growing numbers. We want to express heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed, which included many first-time donors.
As we turn towards summer, new challenges await. Critically, more area children than ever will likely face the threat of food insecurity. Hunger, of course, takes no time off in summer. Last year our Feeding Lambertville Youth (FLY) provided nearly 850 lunches during the summer months. We are excited to announce that together with the Delaware Valley Food Pantry, we will ensure that ALL local children will have access to summer lunches. We ask those who can, to join us by making a donation to fortify our Feed Area Youth and Back To School Backpack program. Last year we supplied brand-new backpacks and necessary school supplies to over 130 area children.
Your donation of:
$25 will provide lunch for one child for a week
$75 will provide a child with a new backpack and necessary school supplies for the upcoming school year
$100 will provide lunch for one child for a month
$150 will provide two children with new backpacks and necessary school supplies for the upcoming school year
$200 will provide one child with lunch for the entire summer
