For 45 years, Fisherman’s Mark has been a trusted partner in this community—supporting working families, seniors, veterans, local artists, and anyone facing hard times. From weekly food distributions to emergency aid during crises like Hurricane Ida, we’ve been here when Lambertville and the surrounding community needed us most.
Now, we’re working to secure a permanent home for our Free MARKet food support programs by purchasing the property at 262 North Main Street—a space we’ve been leasing and improving for years. This is not a sudden move. It’s the result of years of planning, multiple appraisals, and a formal RFP process. We’re offering market value to purchase the building. We believe this space is essential to serving our neighbors with dignity and stability for the long term.
Why This Matters
The need for food support in our region has risen sharply since 2020. Last year alone, we distributed over 100 tons of food to local families. And when floods, inflation, or unexpected emergencies hit, people turn to Fisherman’s Mark.
This isn’t about helping some of our community—it’s about helping all of it. Our participants include:
- Service workers who keep our businesses running
- Seniors on fixed incomes
- Local artists and freelancers
- Families who’ve lived here for generations
Here are the facts:
- We responded to a public RFP and have followed every step with transparency.
- We’ve invested in improving the property and maintaining strong relationships with our neighbors.
- We are not a threat to the community—we are part of its fabric.
- We are not outsiders. We are Lambertville.
This purchase is not just about real estate—it’s about creating the roots that will enable us to continue to serve our community with stability, integrity, and impact.
