On September 1, 2021, the City of Lambertville was devastated by Hurricane Ida, the 7th costliest hurricane to hit the US since 2000. Accuweather estimates its economic impact at $95B. It knocked down more powerlines and transformers than Katrina, Ike, Delta, and Zeta combined, and Lambertville, NJ was among the hardest-hit towns.
